I've always wanted a Christmas village. You know the miniature porcelain houses and churches with little lamp posts? Just always wanted one. Well found part of one at a yard sale and was gonna buy it...then the thought popped into my head, is this too grandma? So I asked my sisters Bethany and Rhianna. They told me to buy it. I did, and didn't regret it until I went shopping later with Bethany and she somehow convinced me to buy a sweater that was too small. We came home and couldn't stop laughing... Her husband Brian looked at us like we were crazy. I think I am a little. I now own a sweater that is too small, and I think the only explanation is that my sister who I must trust ALOT told me to buy it. So I guess what I'm asking is. Elissa, Kaelie? Are Christmas villages okay to own?!

These are the pics from our trip in San Diego! with our awesome friends Landon and Kelsey... And thanks to some amazing grandparents we were able to leave our babies for a weekend. I had an epiphany while I was away... Summer is so fun for people who don't live in az. You get to leave your house! We snorkeled, we shopped, we visited the Mormon battalion center (highly recommend it!!) went to seaworld, and even explored an old "haunted" house. We ate at some delicious places including ghiradellis icecream parlor! Had some good laughs and stopped every hour so Troy could go to the bathroom... We loved it! But I loved coming home to evie the most. It was so weird not having her with me... Were all back together and back to "doin what we do"... This

Mainly we've just been settling in, running errands, and hangin out with the fam. I don't like hot but I do like chillin and lazy days, so summer I guess has it's pros. Here's what we've been up to...nothin big... but that's how I like it lately.

This is Evie's new favorite hangout. She empties the drawers and then sits in them. I've developed an "I don't care" attitude about it.

Random. Bought these cookies and when I opened them there was a bite taken out of one of them. We were boggled.

cousin caleb came to visit, and it happened to be his birthday. Naturally, we had a pool party.

For the 4th, we went to Taylor again. We loved it again; beautiful weather, big 4th of July celebration, and lots of family. Evie was mesmerized by the rodeo for about 1 half hour. Then she wanted to roam the stands and sit on anyone and everyone's lap.
Don't worry we fixed it... we fed her tons of Taylor taffy (alliteration not intended) to keep her still. My Mom Medal is on it's way in the mail im sure.

remember 5 months ago when I did a whole "ode to Thatcher" goodbye forever post? I do... to my credit that WAS 5 months ago. We moved back. Troy went a week ahead to start work and Evie and I packed up and followed. In Thatcher we reside... living happily so come and visit please, you'll love it.

i have a one year old and i just can't seem to wrap my head around it. 1 whole year. she's growing so fast and i think it's gone by in a blink, but at the same time i feel like we've always had her. troy just said to me a few nights ago, "what did we do without her?"...

birthdays are a big deal. my mom always thought so. on April 14 we got to celebrate evie's...

spent the day just the three of us, had a party the next night, opened some presents, and ate some homemade birthday cake

we love our 1 year old. how she managed to develop all that personality in one year i'll never know. maybe she's more troy than i thought. she's perfect and im so grateful she's mine.

summer is upon us

my heart is breaking... today in the mid afternoon i went outside and realized that summer will probably be here in a week. i do not exaggerate when i say that my heart is breaking. spring has been here in good ol' arizona now probably for 4 weeks and it is coming to an end. sounds about right. i am not prepared for an arizona summer, i can't even wrap my head around it. the sidewalk that burns your feet, the hot sticky steering wheel that you can only hold onto with napkins out of the glovebox. i am not prepared to spend the next 6 months indoors with the most incredible utility bill you have ever seen. i long for spring to stay. i know that it won't and troy is glad because that means he can go swimming and eat popsicles, both those things mean nothing to me! they pale in comparison to walks and picnics, and the color green! summer is the most selfish of seasons in arizona. it cuts spring short and doesn't even give autumn a chance. im afraid i am the only one who feels this way in my family because evie got a taste of summer today and she liked it very much!

she's 9 months old, she has 9 teeth including 1 1/2 molars, and she has red strawberry blonde hair. she crawls like a pro and loves to pull herself up on anything she can get her little pudgy hands on. she loves to copy us when we shake our heads from side to side or smack our lips or clap our hands. she now knows the purpose of a spoon, and anytime she finds one she'll immediately put it in her mouth... if it's a clean spoon she'll become genuinely confused as to why it doesn't taste the way it does when mom's feeding her with it. if your eating something she'll never take her eyes off of you. she's soooo busy! she has the cutest giggles and lately i've been having to work pretty hard for them, but they come out easy for Troy. after nap time she'll sqwauk, yes sqwauk for me to come get her and when I do she'll look up at me and grin. her cheeks are the most delicious thing about her and yes, she's so so yummy!

I think your the best! thanks for working so hard for two straight years to accomplish this for our family. thanks for going on no sleep so you could work a full time job and go to school your 1st semester. thank you for taking care of a bedridden sick pregnant wife and managing to fit in study sessions during your 2nd and 3rd semesters. thanks for managing to be a great dad, student, husband, diaper changer, and foot massager throughout your 4th semester. i'm a lucky wife because your a hard working husband. youda best!

The day after graduation we had the Lunt family Christmas party. all the grandkids acted out the nativity and evie was a sweet sweet angel. if by sweet you mean super tired and wiggly.

The week before Christmas we got to go up and visit Justin and Elissa in Cedar city. We got to see beautiful Christmas time in Utah, and they introduced us to wingers. A restaurant that I can now say is on troy's top five. That's impressive, he likes a lot of food and he's got a lot of fav's. Lissa and I sewed aprons, Troy and Justin saw Tron, we all played games and Evie loved hangin out with uncle justin and aunt lissa.

We have moved from Thatcher but sometimes it doesn't feel like it. Every Monday through Wednesday Troy goes back for class, and then comes down here (Gilbert) for clinicals Thursday-Saturday. Meaning, for the last 6 weeks Evie and I have been getting to see him about 1-2 days a week. It's not ideal, but don't feel sorry for me, we've only got 1 more week till his semester's out...relief. Occasionally when he goes to Thatcher I tag along, and we get to see a little more of each other. In early Oct. we went to the apple orchard and then later in the week went to my grandparents ranch,( my dad had come down to help brand and needed the the son-in-laws help.) For halloween my side of the family got together and had a party, and it featured a costume contest. I was the farmer and troy was my milk cow, Evie... a hippie. November pretty much flew by and I don't have any pictures from Thanksgiving but, as always... loved it. We went to the annual Hancock Thanksgiving in Wickenburg and got to see family we love. Just a quick shout out to my cousin kelsey who I know will be reading this! And now it's December 1st and like everyone's December every day is planned out and spoken for. I love the holidays and even though I just saw my entire family and then some, I can't wait until these next few weeks are over and I can see them again... but mostly I just want to see Troy!

Ode to Thatcher and Evie update...

We've moved and I can't believe it! Our Thatcher chapter has come to an end... weird. I'm taking it harder than I thought I would. 3 1/2 years ago Troy and I met, dated, fell in love, and got engaged in Thatcher! Troy has always had a nostalgic love for the place, and though I didn't at first, I do now. After getting married we moved back and from now until forever when I think of our dating, newlywed, and new baby days I will think of Thatcher. We were ready and excited to move for many reasons... school, job, being closer to family, etc... but I am a little bit sad ... and we really will miss it.

THINGS TO MISS

1. our first 4 apartments/ little leaky houses. (including the one Evie came home to!)

2. great wards!!!!

2. some super fun young couples/families who have become great friends

3. EAC (the college campus where our degrees were earned!)

she's 6 months today! (thats absolutely crazy to me) She started sitting up a few weeks ago, and she wants to grab everything. I think she'll learn to run before she learns to crawl. Her hair is still red and I love it. she has a regular smile and a CRAZY smile. She started eating rice cereal and becomes an animal every time she sees it. She pretty much sleeps through the night, and she knows I'm her mom (thats my favorite)!

--how bout i looked at old college pictures and thought "wow, troy must hate that i don't get dressed up anymore. i used to try to be as cute as i could every day, i have become a total loser". then later that same day when i was doing the dishes without a dishwasher and resenting it, i thought, "wow, troy's really lucky to have me, i'm such a gem."

- how bout i remember randomly that one time i saw troy chewing up a pickle and spitting it back out onto his hot dog. when i asked him what he was doing he said, "what, we didn't have any relish."

-AND... how bout im so grateful for facebook, because it means that blogs aren't all the rage anymore and so fewer people will read about all my crazy!

Evie's 5 months. she rolls over, smiles big, giggles, reaches for things, chews on her toes, and tries to sit up. she's getting more red hair, and loves to grab handfuls of other people's hair... i'm going bald! Troy just started his last block of nursing school (yay, were almost done!) he's really busy with work and class but we get to see him on sundays. LOVE THEM BOTH, and me? i'm growing out my bangs!

This is Evie Elizabeth, also known as "miss lizabeth", or "Evie roo", or when she does something especially cute it's "miss roo". so of course "miss roo" is most common... i know... i"m weird. she's 4 months, 13lbs 12 1/2 oz., 50th percentile for weight, and 75th for height. she's the perfect size and i love her so much!!!!!

this post is gonna be all over the place but so much has been happening in these few short weeks. and i cant believe our summer is practically over.

we went to Nauvoo! and we loved it, its a testimony builder for sure, and an amazing tribute to our faithful pioneer ancestors.two words describe it.. faith and sacrifice. my trials are nothing in comparison. the spirit there is infectious. everyone needs to go! i am so grateful that we got to experience it...we learned and felt so much!

right when we got back my sister Rhianna called for some wedding planning help, so me and the sisters (minus lissa, sorry missed you) got together for some invitation sending. we decided to make a party out of it and everyone came to Thatcher for some good 'ole chill time. Love my Family!(especially you troy and evie!)

July part 1.

the 4th was great! we did what we have done for the past 3 years... we went to taylor with the lunts. this year was a little different because my 2 sisters and their husband and husband to be met up with us and got to take part in the festivities. barbecue,blowing up an anvil, a rodeo, and we topped it off with some fireworks. 3 days later we went to the lunt family reunion and got to hang out in the best summer weather i have ever experienced. evie and i got to meet some family we didn't know we had and i got a little taste of evie's daily routine. eat, chill, and sleep. we camped, we hiked, Troy went fishing, i almost stepped on a snake, it rained, we played some cards, and we never stopped eating. i loved it. these pics aren't in order but are they ever? nope.

i've been pretty stressed out lately. for lots of reasons but mainly because we've had a lot going on. earlier this year we had planned 3 or 4 trips for this summer, and a couple of weddings. since the summer has started we've had a lot of unexpected trips thrown into the mix. it's been hard not so much because of the traveling but because of the reasons we've needed to travel. sometimes i get pretty bluesy. i miss my mom. this last weekend we finished up with the weddings and troy and i were reminded of how much we love taking pictures... okay rephrase... how much we love taking pictures together. it is our stress reliever, it's fun! when we were done i didn't care so much that we've been living out of duffle bags, spent tons of money on gas, lost sleep, and have been, at times, emotionally spent. Troy has many talents but the one's that especially stood out this weekend were obviously photography and his ability to make me laugh. it's impossible to be grumpy around him for very long. he cheers me up and i love him for it. um disclaimer, we don't just mess around at receptions but we did snap a few funny pics just for us... for keeps.

Evie has gas! it transforms our sweet little red haired baby into a red faced one as well! a good friend suggested we give her a warm bath to help her relax. we didn't have a baby bath so we fashioned a little baby hot tub. we got to witness the most wonderful transformation and SURPRISE!!!! so do you! troy captured it on film.

Evie's first photoshoot. she's about a week old in these pics and lucky us she might have been the squirmiest baby we have ever shot, secretly i liked it though because all of her funny faces come straight from Troy. She has already changed so much! i kind of hate it!!! but i love to see all of her new expressions and changing features. she'll be 2 weeks tomorrow and when i think about it i just want to cry. She had her 1 week appt. on friday and gained 4 oz. she now weighs 6 lbs 11 oz. she's getting so big!!!

She's here, she's here!!!! Evie is here and we couldn't be happier! She's absolutely perfect!

a quick summary of our special special day....

Wednesday, April 14th 2010 ( Evie Elizabeth's birthday).

I was scheduled to be induced a week early due to all the risks with the whole blood disorder thing (a whole other conversation) so we went into the hospital around 8:00 that morning. once we were all settled in the nurse checked me and we discovered that i was already dilated to almost a 4. so they gave me some cytotec, (a labor inducing drug), and we went for a walk around the hospital for about an hour. when we got back to our room they asked if i wanted an epidural. i'm no hero and had never planned on being one... so i told her, yes as soon as i could get one i wanted one. she then explained that there was the problem of my contractions not being regular. so as soon as i started to have a regular pattern ( maybe every 2 minutes or so) they would give the epidural. reason being, they didn't want to stop labor completely by administering the epidural to early. so the doctor came in and broke my water. before that the contractions hadn't been too bad...after my water had been broken it became a completely different story. i felt really silly but i couldn't take it and only after about 10 min. i was telling troy to page the nurse so i could beg for the epidural... none of this waiting for the contractions to be regular junk... I couldn't take it!!!!!!!! when the nurse came in and checked me, we found out why the pain had become unbearable! i had dilated to an 8 or 9 in 45 min... (the magic number here being 10.) she ran and got the anesthetist. I thankfully got the epidural right before it was time to push and 28 min. later Little Miss Evie Elizabeth Lunt was born. 1:11 pm, 6 lbs. 7 oz. 19 in. long. It's surreal to think that were now parents and have a sweet little daughter. Sometimes i look at her and can't believe she's mine. she already in 6 days has changed our lives completely and i can't believe how much i love her. Troy is completely enamored and can't get enough of her. We love being a little family and realize that she is truly heaven sent...

So I'm finally done with her crib bedding. Maybe next time in advance someone should say... "Whitney, do you know how to make crib bedding?" and I would say no and think twice before trying such an impossible feat!! Someone who's not Troy because when he says it I get all martha Stewart hormonal pregnancy offended and shut myself up in a room until it's done. And I've proved to him I can do it, even though it wouldve been "easier to buy" and I wouldn't have "stressed myself to the max 4 days before she's here !" okay okay he was completely right. But I'm glad I did it and I'm proud I did it, and frankly i'm surprised I did it, quilt and all. We love it and can't wait till she's here to sleep in it! Only 4 more days!

SPRING BREAK!!!!!!

So this past week was Spring Break, and we loved it!!!! The break from school and the time with our family was badly needed. We got to visit both sides of the family, I took my state board tests and passed (Hooray i'm licensed), and I had my baby shower. So busy, but fun! below are pictures of the trip along with one of the temple cuz were so excited it's almost done and feel pretty blessed to be living in Thatcher to witness the dedication and all the festivities. And a recent picture of the belly because i've gotten some requests. so enjoy...

so here's a quick update, nothing special, with no pictures because 1st... don't have a little point and shoot anymore just a huge camera that makes everyone feel like its a formal event when taken out of the bag. and 2nd... im disgusting! haven't worn makeup in maybe a month (no exaggeration, i know everyone is shocked!) oh and my belly is huge, or feels huge, or both. but i realize that if i have no pictures i will regret it so their coming... Troy promises.
Graduated from Cosmo. School and feel pretty accomplished because of it. and i take my state boards in about 3 weeks. I've been loving sitting around and doing pretty much nothing but i know it will only last for a few more weeks so no one think i'm lazy.
Troy's still in school until the end of the semester in May of course but we get Spring Break in 2 weeks so were pumped to do nothing together. instead of just me, and him giving me jealous and sometimes resentful looks everytime he leaves to go to class, or clinicals.
We have 6.5 weeks until the baby comes and were both super excited and a little nervous. I now have to go into the hospital twice a week so they can do a NST ( Non Stress Test, basically monitor the baby's heartrate for 30 Min.) but i don't mind because everything seems to be going great and i get to see and hear her twice a week. ill leave the hospital Tuesdays practically crazy cuz i want her to be here so bad, and then on Fridays ill leave freaking out because i know my life is going to be different forever and were not ready in so many ways... but she's coming so man up i guess!

26 weeks! woke up one morning and we were both shocked, both looking at eachother swearing it wasn't there the night before. Then came the disagreements... Troy loves it! I would love it more if my back didn't hurt.Today was the first time a total stranger asked when I was due! I just stared at her dumbly for a little bit before it hit me that she was waiting for an answer.
Having a belly pros and cons...
Cons:
My back hurts
All my clothes fit weird
All pregnancy symptoms, pretty sure I have them all!
Pros:
I can feel her move and love it!! Pretty sure it outweighs all the cons!

This is me getting the dreaded H1N1 flu shot. You'd think after two shots a day, everyday, it wouldn't even phase me, but flu shots always feel like a really hard punch in the arm. Luckily Troy was there to pre-calm, give, and to post-calm.

So today as Whitney and I were enjoying dinner we were blessed with a little surprise.... We were eating sweet pork burritos and salad. The lettuce was the pre packaged kind so it was just a quick rinse and into the bowl you go! It wasn't until Whitney had eaten a few bites that she discovered a little friend...this freaking ladybug!!!! So, let this be a word to the wise! Rinse your lettuce thoroughly and inspect it for insects because apparently the lettuce people are allowed a certain number of insect parts in each package (seriously). Bon Appetit!!!

News!

So I'm pretty sure everyone knows, but for those of you who don't... I'm pregnant!

Im sure it would have been more exciting if i made this post while everyone still didn't know but whatever. Troy and I are both super excited and super nervous( my history hasn't been the greatest.) but I am a little over 15 weeks now ( the farthest I've ever made it) so we're starting to let the excitement outweigh the nervousness. The doctor informed us that I'll only have to be on bed rest for 5 more weeks unless there is another episode, but he's very optimistic (that's only 4 months total...not the whole 9!!!! good news!). It might possibly be the best news i've ever received since everyday i swear i get a little crazier. Every morning Troy leaves to go live his life in the outside world and i tell him to give it my regards and to not let it forget me. but really, it hasn't been that bad i have gotten a lot of visitors and besides Troy, Rhianna (my lil sis) has been the most amazing. she comes over almost everyday to watch some Gilmore Girls or Sense and Sensibility. and she gives me updates like " hey whitney, it's cold outside now, thats why i'm wearing a jacket." she's the best. Troy's pretty great too, what with being my personal servant and all. jumping up to get anything so i don't have to. and he always has a washed puke bowl ready! he gives me my shots twice a day and makes sure i take all my pills. and every day when he comes home he tells me he loves me and... here's the kicker... will turn off every football and baseball game that i tell him i don't want to watch. (ok except for the world series) I appreciate and love him 100% and in truth cannot tell you who this whole pregnancy thing has been harder on. I'm starting to feel much better and now i'm only sick in the mornings which is also wonderful, and i'm hopeful that in the next couple weeks all sickness will be completely gone! Overall were doing really good and even though it hasn't been the most fun were super super happy! Troy is loving school and loving that the semester is closer to over than not. Next wednesday he'll be done with all clinicals in and out of town. We both can't wait for the holidays and to see our families, and i'm so excited for Thanksgiving in Wickenburg that i can't even stand it. and just a quick shout out... were so grateful to all our family, friends, and ward members who have helped out, and for all the prayers on our behalf.

Troy, for our anniversary (Oct. 4th), bought me this halloween classic! And I loved it for 2 reasons...

1) I love this movie and it's not Halloween without it.

2). It was a super cheap and a very cost effective gift.

(Troy tends to think gifts should be lavish and expensive, and when I said I didn't want anything; he wouldn't have it, so we compromised... and he did so good!

I LOVE YOU, NEW BUDGET AWARE TROY!!!

(ok he just informed me that he bought tickets to phantom, which now makes everything I just said a moot point but I'm so excited that I'm not mad and i love him just the same... ok maybe a little more!!!

Just an Update

So life in thatcher has kicked back into full swing!! Whitney and I are both back in school and getting in the Nitty Gritty of it. Whitney should be graduating in October or November and is loving the fact that it is almost over! As for myself, well I still have a while. This is my second semester in nursing school and it's really busy! I had to quit my job at Verizon Wireless so I could focus on school. I'm there about 20 hours a week in lab and lecture and studying on top of that. This semester is pretty fun, I get to "stick" people alot, we are learning IV starts amongst other things. Not having a job makes it really nice, I don't have to worry about my schedule, and Whitney and I are able to have almost all our nights off to do whatever we want (as long as it's free because no job = no $)!
These pics are some of the last few of our summer, nothing really exciting, but we had. Blast.

We went hiking on Mt. Graham with some of our family, it was nice to get out of the heat for a change!

This is a funny story actually.. Whitney and I were out on a walk one night with Kelsey and Landon. I really don't know how it happened but Kelsey was walking in front of Whitney and stopped. Whitney wasn't really looking and rammed right into her! Apparently Kelsey has heels of steel because Whitney broke her pinky toe on the heel of Kelsey's foot. It sounds harsh but we were all in the middle of the road laughing histerically.

This is the progress that's been going on with the Gila Valley Temple! It has shot up quick!! The picture isn't that great but I took it while driving 60 miles per hour....no worries, Whitney held the steering wheel.

I need to preface this blog with a note that I, Troy, posted these pics without any permission from Whitney, Landon, or Kelsey... When they see them I will probably be in big trouble, but they were too good, I had to share...

It has seriously been a long time since our last post and a lot has changed. Some of our best friends Landon and Kelsey moved down from Provo so Kelsey could go to the beauty school down here. We have always had a blast hanging out with them and were really excited for them to move down here. Within the first few nights we took them to Los Jilbertos, the local "hole in the wall" mexican joint. It was early in the morning and we were tired so we decided to take some funny pictures....we were really tired.

Fourth of July Extravaganza!!!

After visiting our new niece last week we headed up north for the Fourth of July weekend. My best friend Houston and his wife Rachael came with Whitney and I to Taylor, AZ for the festivities. As you can see the trip down there was exciting.... Every year my family goes there for the annual firing of the anvil, and the fourth of July rodeo. When we got there Friday afternoon we met the rest of my family and had some barbecue and played games. The next morning was the lighting of the anvil, a Taylor Arizona tradition. Basically the entire town gets together at 5am and creates their own parade. You follow the truck carrying the anvil around to different spots in the town and people are chosen to light it. The explosion is huge and the anvil launches about 6 feet in the air. (There is a video of it but it doesn't do it justice).

My favorite part of the trip was driving up....while everyone else slept...

I spy just isn't as fun when you play it by yourself.

...like i said, they light the anvil at 5am...

After the anvil we went back to my aunts house, took a LONG nap, and ate some indian fry bread before getting ready for the rodeo. The rodeo was great! I snapped some pics of the riders and thought some of them were cool enough to share. The fireworks after the rodeo were awesome! After that it was more games with my family and overall the trip was great. We had tons of fun and can't wait for next year to do it all over again!

Our New Niece

This past weekend Troy took a week off work so that we could have a little vacation. We got to go see our 6 day old niece, Hailey Brynn Sedig. We were there for 2 1/2 days and while we were there Troy snapped some newborn pics. We love her and she is so cute! Here are a few of our favorites.

Just some cold hard facts for you.

-troy and whitney moved into their apartment the first of May.
-it is now the middle of june.
-that is 1 1/2 months.
-in that time troy has been stung twice.
-two different times.
-once behind the ear and once on the cheek.
-troy and whitney investigated this matter.
-the pictures above are of what they found! in the backyard!!!!!
- these are probably the close relatives of the perpetrators who stung troy.
-these said perpetrators are now deceased!!!

(yes there are three of them and thats only what troy caught last night. their everywhere!!)

just found these pictures that i took for a project at school. My sister Rhianna was kind enough to be my guinea pig, and she let me transform her into a little 30's flapper, or at least try to. um, quick update... Troy finished his first block of the nursing program (super exciting). We moved into a new apartment (nope still in Thatcher, no one get excited) and i still have about 3 more weeks of school and then ill finally get a summer break with my husband! Thats our life, without pictures.

Super Bowl XLIII

Well, it's been forever since our last post and a lot has happened since then, we got through finals, found out Troy was accepted into the nursing program (yay!), spent the holidays with the family in Wickenburg, and moved into a different house just in time to start the next semester. Troy has been working at Alltel here in Thatcher, and has been juggling class, work, and studying tons to keep up. Luckily for us, he won a break! Through work, he won an all expense paid trip for two to Super Bowl XLIII!!! It was amazing! We flew to Orlando Florida checked into our awesome hotel and the next morning we went to Disney World. They asked us how long we were married and we said for a little over a year. They considered us newlyweds so they gave us pins that got us to the front of the line at almost every ride we went on. Then the Super Bowl... Sunday morning I found Troy awake, fully dressed and in his "Fitz" jersey before I ever rolled out of bed, he was pumped. A shuttle took us to Raymond James stadium in Tampa and we hung out at the NFL experience before kickoff. When we finally made it to our seats we were blown away! they were on the club level toward the Cardinals end zone. The game was awesome, it didn't end the way we wanted it too but it made for an experience that we will never forget. Here are just a few pictures from the trip...
